Templatelite Overview
Templatelite, founded by Brian L., is one of the very few Wordpress theme providers offering majority of their themes for free download. Most of the themes come with unique designs and colors. They are suitable for the travel, science, family and personal improvement niches. Still, you might find them suitable for your business site as well.
Theme Functionality
The Wordpress themes from Templatelite come with a wide range of features. They are compatible with the latest Wordpress version and the 6 most popular internet browsers. The themes are also compliant with W3C XHTML/CSS, which make them search engine friendly. Other standard features include options page, automatic thumbnails, drop-down menu and wide screen resolution. All themes are ad-widget ready and have a one-click set up which is quick and easy.
The Templatelite themes meet standards for basic functionality. If you want additional advanced features, you might want to look elsewhere. Providers such as Elegantthemes and Studiopress, offer much more features that cater for the needs of different types of websites.
Theme Graphics
If you want a website that looks like a postcard, a painting or a colorful kids’ book, the Templatelite themes are definitely for you. The graphics can be described with one word – artistic. The headers are impressive and the nice blend of various colors is what makes the themes so special. The contrast between the front and the background is beautiful and attractive.
The fonts are also artistic, but this is not necessarily an advantage. Better readability can be desired from some themes. The placement of the elements is usually standard, although various unique ideas are incorporated in each theme.

There are more than 40 themes in Templatelite’s theme collection and almost all of them are FREE to download. The catch is you have to accept the advertisement. You can, however, purchase an ad-free version of the theme at $20. If you want to modify the graphical part of the theme, the Photoshop file can be purchased at $35 per theme.
For users who do not mind having advertisement in their sites, go to Templatelite and grab any of the free themes that are of good quality!
Theme Support
Customer support is available via the Templatelite forum. Anyone can gain access to the forum. Brian will personally address your issues that are pertaining to theme installation, functions and minor customization. He doesn’t have to do that due to the fact that the themes are free to download. You can post a question and you will get a reply within 5 business days. The waiting time may be long but what’s more would you expect for a free theme having free support.

I am well pleased with the much design-diversified themes they are offering. Their themes cater to a wide community or niche, great for people who maintain more than one kind of site! And have I mentioned they’re free?
GOOD CODING
Most free WP theme developers will not go to great extents to offer this kind of features. Their themes are very operational! They work on most browsers and are very up to date with the latest Wordpress applications.
I tell you, I literally spent hours browsing through their theme collection because all of them are just wonderful and I’m really finding it hard to choose!
I’m just sick of looking at other blogs which are very plain and are all alike so when I saw Template Lite’s themes I knew I had to get them if I wanted to stand out from the rest!
SEO-friendly WP Templates
You can look at anyway you want, but for me, the most important aspect of a template is its SEO capabilities, and Template Lite’s templates are very SEO friendly first and foremost!
The service of most free WP theme developers are really bad, but not Templatelite. Their themes are absolutely very well made and are graphically pleasing. They have a lot of great designs to choose from, very ideal. Bravo!
well, they definitely got me with their price! i didn’t want to go with 100% free WP theme provider because i wanted to get good service and templatelite was really very affordable; and they looked good too.
“Less functions”
For the wide range of features that themes from templatelite have, I still find myself at the losing end because they only provide for the most basic with regard to functionality.
I needed something that had additional advanced features and I guess I made the wrong choice. Bummer.

I have a travel agency type of business and there’s no better theme design to go for than the Templatelite themes. This is because they’ve got themes that look like paintings, postcards and everything a travel agency website should look like. Also, I’ve never seen such artistic fonts!
Wordress themes from Templatelite, I think, are themes made with high resolution graphics. It’s hard to make a choice if you’re looking at the themes offered on their website. They’re all so ornate, even fantastical. Even so, these designs are not distracting to the viewer. You can read on happily knowing that you have a beautiful theme working for you.
When it comes to tweaking the various parts of the theme, that’s where Templatelite falls short. I give it a high rate for coding but functionality has much to improve on.
I would have to agree with Naruki M that TemplateLite falls short when it comes to theme functionality. And their designs can be too heavy on the eyes at times, hope they can fix that.
